The Process
Developers apply on the website with their proof of work and a 6-month plan. Educators send a proposal to hello@codeorange.dev. Every application is read by a human.
Take the 2-minute readiness check, then apply with your PRs, project and a goal for each month.
Selection is based on proof of work, project fit and commitment. We only start once your mentor is confirmed.
Month 1 is setup, mentor matching, codebase orientation and a first small PR. You get your own fellow dashboard.
A standup every Monday, a review every Friday, Code Review Club and the Privacy Track, a report by the 5th, paid in bitcoin by the 10th.
Month 6 ends with a demo, a review, and your next step: long-term open source, a role, or an extension.
Proof of work
Every developer fellow gets a public page that fills itself as they work: pull requests, reviews, milestones and monthly highlights. Payments stay private.
